He does not know his own strength

It was spinach for poppie, anger for the incredible hulk, kriponite for superman and red wine for Edwards (aka oscar ). "The metal has aged, it just turned in the lock,  it's like toffee!)  Yeah Yeah yeah Edwards.  All I know is our £11 room is now offset by the €50 key that we have to replace. It's like traveling with the ogar out of Shrek. TIT!. Oh yeah and we are now vulnerable to anyone sho wants to get into our room at night. Good job we are not in a rough area hey? Oh sh*t

Another great find

We have made it as far as Rimini.  Edwards was very dubious when I booked a hotel including breakfast for £11 each. Yep you read right £11 each. Sceptical Edwards "Oscar" believed that I had booked us into a right dump. Tucking into a "grande Bierre " for €3 and looking out at his bike secured on the hotels veranda he is now eating his words, hat and beer bottle. Room even has a balcony looking out over the bikes. The ride over was fantastic. A more eclectic selection of roads you could not wish for. Winding dirt tracks through the mountains, fast sweeping A roads mixed with a fair share of kamakazi town filtering. The image below shows part of the route before google tracks stopped working. Tomorrow is my birthday so we are planning a visit to the Ducati factory (as it's is my birthday I may just treat myself). Time for some spaghetti

Almost at Ancona

Another fantastic B&b last night. This morning we had a ride around the lake stopping on the north side for a coffee and pastry. Edwards had his first brush with the law when they pulled over to tell him to live his bike. The limp was not convincing  anyone as he hobbled over to move it from the disabled spot. We finally figured out how to operate the sat nav and plotted a route towards Ancona along the s361. Brilliant road it you have an adventure bike (Williams) not so great if you have a sports bike (Edwards). Pulled over about 30 km out side Ancona for a pulled pork bap and a drink. Going to see if we can make it as far as Rimini, sun is baking down though so could quite happily have a kip at the side of the road.

Magione

We are in Magione, just on the out skirts of "Lake" lago trasimeno. Stunning place. We ended up jumping on the autostrada because Edwards has started grumbling about being tired  (must be his age). Found a brilliant b&b. On the way down we stopped in Florence,  although we we were not sure we were in the right place because in Italian it is called Firenze.  How does that work where the Italians do not even know the correct pronunciation of one of their largest towns? We need to have words.

Now tucking into some house wine with a larger chaser, it may be a late start tomorrow.  Speaking of tomorrow we plan on doing a lap of the lake followed by a trip through the hills to Ancona.

Michelle, please help, your husband is an insesant worrier.  He is doing my head in with talk about us not making it back in time! Anyone would think he had commitments or something?

Whats the difference

Whats the difference between Edwards and Oscar the grouch?  One gets grumpy when tired, moans about everything and is a pain in the arse at times, and the other is a character from the muppet show

Pisa

Pisa? Every building is on the pisa not just the famous tower. Below you will see the inevitable and obvious "tourist propping up the tower photo. " Daft I know but it had to be done. We were quite lucky to get this photo as the polizia moved everyone off the grass moments later, bloody do gooders.

We then sat outside a restaurant for a cup of coffee only to be told we were not welcome unless we brought more than a coffee. Up yours! We will take our custom somewhere else. Burger King yo be precise, that will learn ya!
