Another great find

We have made it as far as Rimini.  Edwards was very dubious when I booked a hotel including breakfast for £11 each. Yep you read right £11 each. Sceptical Edwards "Oscar" believed that I had booked us into a right dump. Tucking into a "grande Bierre " for €3 and looking out at his bike secured on the hotels veranda he is now eating his words, hat and beer bottle. Room even has a balcony looking out over the bikes. The ride over was fantastic. A more eclectic selection of roads you could not wish for. Winding dirt tracks through the mountains, fast sweeping A roads mixed with a fair share of kamakazi town filtering. The image below shows part of the route before google tracks stopped working. Tomorrow is my birthday so we are planning a visit to the Ducati factory (as it's is my birthday I may just treat myself). Time for some spaghetti

  1. Well Rob, considering we passed through many towns along the Adriatic coast which, to be quite honest, looked like the north east of England in the 1980's I thought I was going to win this one. However, as we entered Rimini my fears subsided as we passed through streets filled with exotic foliage and nicevhotels. We continued.....and continued until we came across ,well, bombed out hotels! Ah, my hunch was right, we had arrived at a place which was somewhere between Blackpool and Kabul! £22 for a room for a night was not looking good. The dogs were walking around in pairs and even the amusement arcades had bouncers. :( We carried on and, to my relief, Rob did come up trumps. The hotel is a little gem and the people lovely. You win Rob :)
